Never Doubt God’s Power

Isaiah 51:15  For I am the LORD your God who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar —    His name is Yahweh of Hosts.

I am reminded in this verse that God declares however He pleases to remind the world “WHO” He is and the importance of proclaiming Him as Lord, of this universe.  When I think about the seas and especially in the storms- the power of the waves, as they roar toward inland. Sometimes they are strong enough to knock you off your feet. Some ocean waves in storms are so strong they destroy buildings and properties.

Over and over I am reminded that God’s Power is the greatest my mind could ever imagine. I think about the strength of men, and there is not one that compares or come close to God’s power. No other human can create a universe, nor can they stir the seas and cause the waves of the seas to roar!

Ask yourself this question: “If I stood at the edge of a roaring sea- could I say, I believe God is in control of this world- the universe?” Do I believe God’s Power is over every living thing and that He created all living things? Do I believe God is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords?

When you pray to God of the Heavens, have you seen His Power, do you Know His Voice? He is powerful- call on His name in whatever situation you are in and ask for His help. Bow down and worship God, and call Him your God; and believe and trust in Him. Simply ask God to forgive you and ask Him to show you, “Who He Is.” God wants you to call Him God- because He said in the Ten Commands- “You should not have any other gods but ME.”

Beloved- do not ever doubt God’s power. His promises are Yes- His inspired Word the Bible is Truth- http://www.biblegateway.com/ is the link you can read the Bible- God’s word daily.

Joyful- Joyful – Lord We Adore You….

Read the following lyrics and let them settle into your soul. If you know the tune sing along- nothing better for the soul than the lyrics of a hymn-

Psalm 33:3
Sing a new song to Him; play skillfully on the strings, with a joyful shout.

089. Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee

Text: Henry Van Dyke
Music: Ludwig van Beethoven; Arr. by Edward Hodges
Tune: HYMN TO JOY, Meter: 87.87 D

1.	Joyful, joyful, we adore thee,
	God of glory, Lord of love;
	hearts unfold like flowers before thee,
	opening to the sun above.
	Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
	drive the dark of doubt away.
	Giver of immortal gladness,
	fill us with the light of day!

2.	All thy works with joy surround thee,
	earth and heaven reflect thy rays,
	stars and angels sing around thee,
	center of unbroken praise.
	Field and forest, vale and mountain,
	flowery meadow, flashing sea,
	chanting bird and flowing fountain,
	call us to rejoice in thee.

3.	Thou art giving and forgiving,
	ever blessing, ever blest,
	well-spring of the joy of living,
	ocean depth of happy rest!
	Thou our Father, Christ our brother,
	all who live in love are thine;
	teach us how to love each other,
	lift us to the joy divine.

4.	Mortals, join the mighty chorus
	which the morning stars began;
	love divine is reigning o'er us,
	binding all within its span.
	Ever singing, march we onward,
	victors in the midst of strife;
	joyful music leads us sunward,
	in the triumph song of life.

My Written Prayer Today- Make it Yours-

I know it has been a few days since I have updated this blog but here goes- A prayer I scripted that I wanted to share with you- Make it your prayer today or write your own prayer- Sometimes it is a wonderful assembly to write prayers and then keep them and read them later- it reflects God’s work in you- Be Blessed–

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.”Matthew 6:33 HCSB

“Lord-You must consume my soul- Send Your power– come down upon me

May I bow down and worship the King of Kings–Lord your power is great–Speak life into me Lord

Consume me- overpower me with the deep things of heaven

Increase in my thoughts –so that I can no longer be self consumed

May I be gripped by GODLY authority so much that as I am cleansed from my sin that I weep and wail over my own filthy rags- my gross unrighteousness

Holy God of this Universe I cry out to you- I can no longer trust this world- or the dark ways of the ungodly-

I am ever watchful- depending only on Your Divine correction of my steps-

Oh Lord- the closest circle of people in my life- compel them to draw nearer to you- and help All your people to stand- In Jesus name

And as I stand today- May Your power soar- and miracles begin -too numerous- for me to do anything but Praise Your Holy Name

Lord the huge circle of people who once called you Lord in the world- drive them to their knees- convict hearts and compel minds–

Your people have become strangers in our own lands- What was once good is now so polluted- minds are warped and there is no respect for creation

as You created it-

Thus Lord– I perceive and proclaim- in my mind and heart- that You are fully in control- Nothing comes and goes without your declaration -

I sense we are in Revelation days Lord- and the fine fragrance of Glory is in my nostrils- Lord breathe upon me- so that I may stand in this strange place and truly say, “NOTHING compares to You-”

In these days Test me, Try me, If there is any wicked way in me- let it depart from me and refine my inner most depths Lord-

May You shine as the noon day -as you separate Your people- from the polluted sin-driven world…those who spit at You and deny You-”

The canopy over me is you Lord- You carefully hide me under the shelter of Your Almighty wings- Your winds blow and take my breath away-

Lord as I journey- may I run fast towards the place of Victory ….so that my final sojourn – my devoted race is run with Divine favor from heaven.

Lord Your Ever-Present love- over-whelms me and it is with deep conviction that I come to You- Because truly I love You with all that is within me- Bless those who bless You Lord and obey your commands- There is None like You Lord- It is with Great praise and conviction that I come to You Lord- Face to Face- Yes Lord Face to face to witness Your Glorious Holy of Holies where there is a soothing balm that flows beyond

description and a place that surpasses all misconceptions of Who You Are…..and Your Greatness-

– Lord I come- In that Name of Jesus Christ- The Son of The Most High God–

Choose to Honor Jesus Christ -the Son of The Living God

‎–Above ALL else- (people-places-things)
we must HONOR Jesus Christ-
The LIVING Son of the Most High God-

It is time for lots of memories to be stirred- the anniversary of the the twin towers and airplanes crashing- being blasted by evil doers. These evil doers schemed-planned – and proceeded to destroy lives. There were heroes from that day, many of them dead- there is a tug-of-war to gain attention over that event. Obama seems to point a finger at Bush and it really gets ugly if you dig underneath the surface of that day.

I don’t mind taking a moment to remember those whose lives have been changed. However I choose to honor God-Jesus Christ above all else- He deserves my undivided attention and on 9/11 I choose to thank Him for the lives that were saved- and thank Him that it was not worse. We must function on the side of Christ that is free – free to worship and bow down and proclaim Jesus as Lord.

I find it mind-boggling that we do not weep over the suffering of Christ- more than we weep over man’s wars.

I love reading this scripture in Luke 11- read it and let it soak into your soul. In fact read the entire chapter- I will put a link below the scripture if you desire to read it in full context.

28Jesus replied, “That’s true, but the people who are really blessed are the ones who hear and obey God’s message!”

29As crowds were gathering around Jesus, he said:

“You people of today are evil! You keep looking for a sign from God. But what happened to Jonah is the only sign you will be given. 30Just as Jonah was a sign to the people of Nineveh, the Son of Man will be a sign to the people of today. 31When the judgment comes, the Queen of the South will stand there with you and condemn you. She traveled a long way to hear Solomon’s wisdom, and yet here is something far greater than Solomon. 32The people of Nineveh will also stand there with you and condemn you. They turned to God when Jonah preached, and yet here is something far greater than Jonah.

33No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a clay pot. A lamp is put on a lampstand, so that everyone who comes into the house can see the light. 34Your eyes are the lamp for your body. When your eyes are good, you have all the light you need. But when your eyes are bad, everything is dark.35So be sure that your light isn’t darkness. 36If you have light, and nothing is dark, then light will be everywhere, as when a lamp shines brightly on you.”

Resilient by Design by Jennifer Kennedy Dean

I wanted to share this blog from my friend Jennifer- hope you will enjoy!

You may want to explore the following link http://prayinglife.org/ - this site is filled with great info in the area of prayer.

Resilient by Design

http://jdean1211.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/resilient-by-design/

“The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he knows how weak we are; he remembers that we are only dust” (Psalm 103:13-14).

The oft repeated image of God as our father paints a portrait of God’s love for us as protecting, providing, guiding, teaching.  It’s a love that is personal and intimate. tender and compassionate.

Your relationship to God as Father can be the basis for restful living. Consider who your Father is. The fact that God is your Father is not just a lovely idea or a comforting thought. It has day-by-day, minute-by-minute practical effect in your life. He is your provider. He’s going to take care of you. He knows what you need and has already made arrangements to provide it.

Jesus portrayed the Father-heart of God, showing us that God is attentive and watchful over us. He directed us to consider how the lilies grow. Effortlessly. Without strain or anxiety. They simply receive their provision. They just soak up the sun and the rain that the Father sends. They weather the droughts and endure the harsh seasons, and then thrive again. Droughts end. Seasons change. The lilies of the field grow. God created them and designed them to receive and then to flourish.

If He created them so carefully, with resilience built in, surely His blueprint for us includes the ability to flourish under any circumstances. With God as our Father, we can live restfully. He will not lead us into disaster. He will not leave us on our own to wander into danger for which He has not planned our rescue. He always takes into account our frailty and puts His strength in its place. He carries us like a father carries his child. We are safe in His arms.

Dearest Father, You do not leave me exposed to any danger or lack. You, though You have a universe to rule and manage, know and care about the details of my life. God Almighty, Creator, Ruler, Sustainer—my Daddy.

“God incarnate is the end of fear, and the heart that realizes the He is in the midst will be quiet in the middle of alarm.” (Alexander MacLaren 1826-1910)
