First Flight!

I suppose the Lord continues to use the birds of the air…large and small to teach me this week. In our blue bird house there were 5 baby blue birds. Each egg came in a sequence. I am assuming the first egg laid was the first bird that God created and on in the sequence the eggs hatch. It is very notable that the babies when they first hatch are extremely dependable on the male and female adult birds. They constantly feed them and hover over them day and night. The amazing thing is “how fast the birds grow” and how soon they are ready to take flight.Yesterday I opened the door of the blue bird house. Two babies remained. Oh they were ready to take flight but just sitting around, until I opened the door. One flew out with ease, the other practiced flapping the wings inside the house and then he turned around and out he flew. The instinct of survival and the instinct to fly.If God indeed cares for the birds of the air-do you not think He cares for you? Oh beloved He cares for you more than you can imagine. Do not give up- Take Flight in life and do not allow insecurity to hold you. Take a deep breath and believe that daily life is in God’s hands and that He will direct your path. As you read the following scriptures in Psalm 28- ask God to guide you today. You can take flight in confidence if you trust God and allow Him to help you. There are so many disturbing news stories. Some of them make me sick and I have to pray and ask God to delete such horrible sinful stories to be forgotten- yet pray for the innocent people who are often times harmed. This world will let you down, there are so many ugly and evil events taking place. Keep praying and reading your Bible. Take flight with God! He cares deeply for you and more than you could ever know.Psalm 28:6-8

6 Praise be to the LORD,for he has heard my cry for mercy.7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joyand I will give thanks to him in song.8 The LORD is the strength of his people,       a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
