Allowing God to Direct Life!

Well this blog is nearing 10,000 views since it began- and about 1,000 comments including the “spam comments” that were deleted! You have to understand that the pages read were from people around the world. I have a world map of the places where our blog has at least been previewed. There is no way we could reach people in  Australia, New Zealand nor the four corners of the world without this blog. Thus I continue the daily processes of writing a few words. Sometimes I include entire chapters of scripture knowing that some areas, The Bible may not be available. Throughout the blog there is a glimpse of the gospel message as well. We’d love to hear from you, know how we can encourage or pray for you. So we will wait to hear from you soon! As you note, the written word is used to communicate hope through this blog. It is my hope that you have been encouraged. If so, please send others the link to this blog so that it can be used.It is my prayer you are encouraged today. As I lean on the pillows this morning and ponder the greatness of God- He is all that is worthy of praise! He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I pray you can relate to that praise! This has been a very tiring season over the past two months as we have packed, traveled to Chicago for our daughter’s graduation and then helping her set up house where God opened a ministry job for her in Marketing. So for the past few days I have personally and purposefully rested my mind, body and heart as life shifts and gears up for the journey ahead. The empty nest is now a reality! And the greatest praises goes up to God for our two having fine college educations at Union University and Moody Bible Institute! The greatest was them stepping from college into great occupations and watching them grow and seek God!I will be totally immersed in prayer and seeking the Lord with my whole heart in the days ahead! So many prayer needs and requests that I am aware of or that people confided in me to pray. I’d love to see the minister’s wives in this area grow in fellowship with one another as well as just relax and enjoy the times appointed for gathering. I suppose I’d like to see a trust and bonding come about as well. It seems to be the time for the Redeemer to enliven us as we all race toward the mark of Christ!

1 Corinthians 9:23-25

23I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.24Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
