Charles Finney said….”A revival is nothing else than a new beginning of obedience to God.”Ever been in a church that kept praying for revival? Ever been in a personal revival where the light of Christ shinned down with a radiance into your life like something truly amazing? We keep hearing that churches want revival. The church is praying fervently for revival! What needs to occur through that prayer is repentance, a turning from sin and turning to complete obedience to the laws of Christ. One revival service Heather was deeply convicted of her lifestyle. She had been drinking and partying with a group of young people who continually took Heater deeper into a pit. Heather confessed she wanted a “new beginning!” We prayed and Heather confessed to God her wrong-doings and asked God to help her friends. Not only was Heather renewed and revived, but her friends were present on the last night of revival. Each of them gave up their lifestyles and confessed sin and accepted Christ as Lord over them. How’s it going with you and people around you?
14 And it will be said:”Build up, build up, prepare the road!Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.” 15 For this is what the high and lofty One says—he who lives forever, whose name is holy:”I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,to revive the spirit of the lowlyand to revive the heart of the contrite.16 I will not accuse forever, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirit of man would grow faint before me— the breath of man that I have created. Isaiah 57:14-16
