May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus…”There is nothing more freeing than to read a scripture and know God’s Spirit is encouraging you through it. Even if you cannot locate scriptures immediately use your concordance or even computers to search for scriptures that may meet your needs. Just remember- God keeps His promises to us. So when reading the word of God- stand firm and pray in faith believing God. He is the “Promise Keeper.”Recently a grandmother called me weeping. She was so burdened concerning her grandchild’s eyes. The baby was born 2 months early and the eyes develop the last two months in the womb-the nerves and blood vessels separate. She was so burdened that she was almost out of control. We prayed, then I called and asked a home-school mother that was teaching her 6 and 4 year old sons to pray for the baby’s eyes to develop correctly! God’s word says we need to have the faith of a child when we pray and I believe in asking children to pray! Well the next day Grandmother calls and says, “the baby’s eye exam today was remarkable, the eyes have developed.” We believed God as the Healer, the little boys had faith when they prayed and now a baby’s eyes are healthy!It is God’s power and promise to supply encouragement in Scripture!
