Have you ever asked a question and gotten an answer, “maybe, maybe not?” Or have you ever answered a question saying, “I think I can?” I must confess I have and GOD has made me re-think the position of those answers. You see in God’s word He says…”Let your Yes be Yes and your No be No.” Therefore consider the above responses the next time you answer a question. Stand firm in these days and let your speech be pure and noble. What if God told Noah to build an ark and he said, “maybe–maybe not or I think I can?” What in the world would have happened? Or what about doubting God- do you ever doubt He is answering prayer? Today, think about how you respond to God- think about how you respond to the people around you! Today a minister’s wife called me and we had a discussion concerning an upcoming tea for minister’s wives. There have been some interesting responses as our team has called them to attempt to get a response- mostly to encourage them to be a part of the minister’s wives tea and fellowship. 2 Corinthians 1:18-20…… “But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not, “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not “YES” and “NO” but in him it has always been “YES.” For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
