Proverbs 22… “9The LORD blesses everyone who freely gives food to the poor.” Do you know any poor people? Have you ever given food or money for food to help poor people. Evidently in Proverbs 22 the Lord says He will bless those who give food to the poor. I am challenge by that verse. It was on Tuesday morning in Bible study class that I was reminded that Jesus loved the poor and downtrodden. He cared for their needs. There was also a remark in class that stuck me and that was that, “great people, love greatly!” I challenge you today to look around your towns, cities, communities and help feed the poor. I am personally challenged- This Good Friday reach out to the poor and freely give them food. Bless their lives! I know there are “cons” out on the streets making a living collecting money. I have even seen with my own eyes a man who pretended to have no shoes. He took them off and sat on them and then held out his hat to collect money on a sidewalk in a city. But what you do in Christian love- God will bless. He knows the hearts of the givers. Be blessed today asking God to direct your path.
