I say welcome back because my world has literally been changed! It seemed at all angles life has kept me busy. I was in Ga. for two weeks after the surgery for my mother who had kidney surgery. She had cancer and by the time they took the kidney out that was filled with fast-growing cancer it had leaked into her body. Thus she is on a cancer drug and still recovering. The surgery was considered high-risk due to her health issues.Meanwhile my very dear “spiritual mother” Fran died. I got a call from her son telling me that she was not going to make it much longer and asked me to come. Do you know how difficult it was to know Fran would die without me by her side? That call came two days before I was to leave to Ga. I want to clarify what I mean by spiritual mother. Fran was a lady who in our first church out of seminary took us into her home and adopted us. She is the fine lady who ushered me into the depths of prayer and taught me so much in prayer times with her. She was our kids grandma- since we lived out west Grandma Fran became a vital role in our kids lives. Fran prayed for our kids in the womb and prayed for them till her death. And in the process of this news. Mitch’s mother fell and broke her ankle. So I come home from GA because it is our daughter’s spring break. So life really got exciting! She had filed an application, and cover letter to a ministry that needed a Marketing Specialist. She sent the cover letter and resume before she came home. Within an hour she was called and they scheduled an interview with her. So she flew home from college had a couple days to spruce up herself and her portfolio and fly out to her interview. She had to wait till the end of the week to get final word on the job. But the job she actually applied for was given to an inside person. God opened up a new avenue as and Account Executive for an arm of the ministry. In addition she would now be on a salaried income instead of non-exempt. God kept blessing her.So on Tuesday we got things packed and rushed out the door to the location of her new job. She was invited to meetings with her boss and marketing team. Then to lunch — after lunch we searched for an apartment, and searched- and after prayer and exploring we found her an apartment that would be sufficient for her commute. We returned home and she repacked and flew back to college to finish her senior year and will graduate May 15 and begin her job on May 24th! Thus the work continues as I begin to find all the housing supplies for setting her up in her new and exciting life.So that is what is going on — lots of excitement and many blessings from Above!Just a few days before our daughter got a job offer the “career guy” from her college visited her communications area and told the students “it does not look good.” He was referring to the employment rate and job opportunities! We praise God for what He has done in providing a job during Spring Break for our daughter. When she graduates she will know the plans of the Lord and she will walk in it!Proverbs 24:14 says…” Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
