Human Suffering

 Psalm 38:21-22 (New International Version)

21 O LORD, do not forsake me;be not far from me, O my God.

22 Come quickly to help me,O Lord my Savior.

I am amazed by human suffering. It brings tears to my eyes. I ask the Lord, “what or how can I make a difference. The most recent earthquake shook up a very poor people group. I am saddened to see little children laying out on street corners dead- with mothers screaming and weeping. People are thirsty, hungry and still in a tizzy and shock after their land was shaken by the earthquake. What are you doing? How are you helping? Do pray for the survivors as they overcome. What do you think is our personal obligation to this sort of disaster-  We must pray, but what else. Our government is shipping supplies by air and seas. Is that enough, are you satisfied?Human suffering is happening all over the earth. What are we to learn from it all?
