Focus On God and His Help

It is the “holiday” countdown. The pressure is on for us to attempt to buy just the right presents for our loved ones! I am trying to focus on God and I ask for His help. It was quiet time consuming decorating two Christmas trees and do all the work in the house, ride the exercise bike 12 miles a day and read 100 pages in the Chronological Bible. These tasks added to Christmas is quiet demanding. What I have noticed is that God has provided me with more energy, less stress, and a focus on what is vital in everyday life. So many people are pressured to buy gifts they cannot afford and many people are stressing because the economy continues to eat up the money earned. As you read the following scripture- ask God to help you. Ask God to provide for you and your family. And if you have to, call a family meeting and draw names and be honest that you cannot afford expensive gifts this holiday season. Re- focus, Re-group and share with the children at home that this Christmas is very different- and that you are going to focus on homemade items and even a couple of gifts instead of a heap under the tree that bring only temporary satisfaction.Every day life gets tough for everyone! But until you surrender to God’s purpose and His provisions- will you ever discover peace in a rushed and demanding holiday season.Send us your prayer concerns so that we can pray for you! Psalm 70:4-5 4 - But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, ”Let God be exalted!”5 - Yet I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God.You are my help and my deliverer;O LORD, do not delay.
