2 Samuel 22:16-18
16- The valleys of the sea were exposed
and the foundations of the earth laid bare
at the rebuke of the LORD,
at the blast of breath from his nostrils.
17- “He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
he drew me out of deep waters.
18- He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
from my foes, who were too strong for me.
Ever feel like you need to be “rescued?” I do from the craziness of the world! The news is filled with deep troubles all around us. There may be troubles in your household, church, employment and you feel like you need God to rescue you! Re-read the verses and ask God to reach down from on high and rescue you from your troubles.
I like to play the piano although not trained. When I was a very young child I asked God to teach me how to play the piano. He granted that to me and to this day I love turning off the lights at night to just play praise and worship songs. As I play I usually pray and thank God for just “Who He is!”
This morning as I ran cords up and down the piano a tune kept coming to me and then the following words to the praise song God placed in my mind:
Hold me close
Gentle Lord
Take me back
To you Lord
Deeper still
To Your Throne
My desire is in you Lord….
Some day soon
You’ll return
Heal this world
You designed
Your forgiveness….Your grace
Fill my soul…Oh my Lord.
