Our Son Is Married!

Jeremiah 2:32

32 Does a maiden forget her jewelry,
a bride her wedding ornaments?
Yet my people have forgotten me,
days without number.

I was venturing through scripture that I could connect with our son and new daughter’s wedding this past Saturday! What a beautiful ceremony and the bride indeed had her wedding ornaments, a beautiful white wedding dress, a veil and yes the white flip flops. The beautiful backdrop was a canopy of trees and during the wedding we heard the bird sing their melodic tunes. It was almost as though creation was rejoicing with us!

As Mitch led the wedding ceremony- he reminded the bride and groom to not forget to make God a center of their relationships. It was a sweet ceremony and we rejoiced with creation that “what God put together was good!”

So today- don’t forget God! Talk to Him and seek to know Him with your whole heart! We did not forget the wedding- we did not forget to thank God in all things.

We rejoice and praise God for the bride and groom and the wedding ceremony. But most of all we rejoice that Christ is coming again to take His bride, “the Church” back to His holy place.

Take a few moments today to spend time with God through scripture, meditation on the Word and through prayer. Rejoice- He is the God of creation and all good things.
