Philippians 3:14
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Sometimes we all just want to “give-up!” I know there are times that the journey is just to busy and life is pulling us many directions. God’s word says:
1-We must press on
2-Toward the goal
Why?
3-To win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
I have several acquaintances who have adult children who are basically trying to “get off either “meth” or “pain pills” and it is very difficult to get rid of these chemicals when the body is craving them. The battle of the mind, emotion, physical and spiritual are all raging at once. A few of the people who are hooked on drugs must go to a clinic every day to get replacement drugs from a doctor. These drugs from the doctor are supposed to be less harmful to the body.
Needless to say I admire a couple women who are pressing on with God. They have weaknesses because of the additions but they are by no means horrible people. They have young children and husbands. The battle is never seamless!
How can we press on toward the mark of Christ?
Focus on God
Prayer and Bible Study
Accountability
Honesty
Press on today and along the way encourage others!
