If you know God- He holds the riches in glory! Streets of gold, mansions and banquets are just the beginning. Heaven’s riches will always outshine what this world we live offers. God explains to us in scripture how to pray, how to live and what to focus on. Never in my life has God ever not provided.
Many times I have gone into our walk-in closet, shut the door behind me and fallen to my knees asking for God’s provisions. Working in ministry in the Pacific Northwest, Utah and other states- those ministry positions did not help us economically. We always depended upon God for all our needs!
But YES, God provided for us and still does! I was a wife, mother and homemaker first! I have never worked outside the home by design to raise obedient children and to teach them right from wrong! Because Mitch also understood the importance of my being home it meant only one income!
Every time I shut the door behind me and prayed, somehow God always provided! I remember the day when our son was certain Union University was the college for him! We had NO college fund nor did we have large amounts of extra money! So-yes- I went to the closet, shut the door behind me and prayed until something happened!
To our blessing- that 22,000.oo tution became a reality! Scholarships and God’s economy allowed our son to attend Union University debt free! Yes there were sacrifices and we made them, and God ALWAYS made a way for us to pay our portion of that tution! God’s economy is never lacking! You just have to ask Him! He provides for His own children.
I knew God loved my son and daughter more than I ever could and He led me to pray His favor upon them and I have witnessed God’s hand and favor upon our adult children! Those kinds of victories are sweet! They are so sweet that only God could have opened heaven’s economy to provide.
Our daughter graduates from college in one more year! To date, God continues to provide beyond our expecatations! How great a God, how great His salvation and how great it is to know God’s economy is not ours! I challenge you to make adjudgements emotionally, economically and spiritually! God certainly holds the riches in Glory and indeed knows our every need!
Colossians 1:24-29 Paul’s Labor for the Church
24-Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. 25-I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— 26-the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. 27-To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28-We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. 29-To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.
It is my prayer just like Paul, that we focus on the mystery of Christ and depend on His economy to work! Allow The Spirit of Christ in you to work powerfully each day!
