The weather in Tennessee is rather sultry so it is not until early evening that I sit outside. Sometimes there are breezes in the early morning if I can manage to get outside to enjoy them. But for the last few evenings I have sat out front and to my surprise God has given me a great awakening!
Life for our household has been different as we have waited for God to re-route us to His perfect will after LifeWay phased our their entire Pastoral ministries area. So between a slight panic in my spirit to knowing God will rescue us and care for us I have now been- enlivened by the symphony of nature.
I no more hear a bird sing it’s own song, nor a bug make it’s own noises. What God has tuned my ears to is that every living thing if we “listen” is praising God! Give it a try. Ask God to let you hear that reviving Praise as a symphony of creation declares His praises!
We must join in! We must praise God and tune our hearts upward! The things, worries and opportunities of this world will literally weigh us down enough that we suffocate! The church must stand in awe of our Mighty God and focus upward! We must praise HIM!
2 Peter 3:13-15….. ” But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.”
