I Can Fly!

I love Peter Pan! The fictional story always reminds me if “I believe” I can fly! Fairy dust is not required but “we must believe in God!” Realistically I will not fly to Neverland– but to Glory-

and I will soar on wings like eagles!

Isaiah 40:30-31 says…. “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Do you believe? Are you waiting on some magical fairy dust or do you believe in God? I know Peter Pan is a fairy tale, but whenever I see or read a fairy tale I find myself mediating on scripture and I am reconnected to God!

Oh I can fly! I can soar with eagles– even when I grow weary! God’s ways are much more powerful than fairy dust! His heavens reach to heights and depths I cannot fathom- and because I believe in Him- He is my hope!

Some day I will fly!

Elisabeth Elliot wrote…. “God is God. Because He is God, He is worthy of my trust and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will, a will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what He is up to.”
