The Apostle Paul referred to “the early days of the gospel.” It then stands to reason that there will also be “the latter days of the gospel.” This makes sense. There will eventually be the last and final person to receive the Lord during this period of grace. When will that occur? No one knows for sure, but the Bible gives many signs that suggest the latest of the hour. Moreover the Spirit seems to be impressing upon believers that the time of Christ’s return is near. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows that this world is in trouble and the fuse has been lit. Since it appears we are in the “end times” it is important that we know how to act. One word comes to mind: Urgency!
Christ lived with urgency and so should we. Whatever we are going to do for God we better do it fast.
It was exciting to live in the first days of the gospel, right after Christ’s ascension. And it is exciting to live in the last days of the gospel, right before Christ’s return!
