Real Vision

Anne Graham Lotz wrote… “Often, in the midst of great problems, we stop short of the real blessing God has for us, which is a fresh vision of who He is.”

Today a lady had surgery not knowing the extent of what she was going to face. Although she was facing uncertain news, she kept her focus on Christ. The phone rang early afternoon with news that not only did she have lung cancer but her lymph nodes were all affected by cancer.

When I received the phone call asking if I would pray- this dear lady did not yet know what was facing her. Her husband and pastor was waiting by her bedside to explain the results of the surgery. Her deep confidence in Christ was obvious as she faced surgery.

She simply believes in God’s healing and mercy. She also let her church family know that she surrendered to God’s plan for her life or death.

It is my hope that as we face difficult times and problems that we will face them with godly confidence. We will eventually comprehend God’s real blessing in times of trouble. I do pray the following verses will be a reminder to trust in Him in every situation.

Deuteronomy 31:8… “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Psalm 16:8…”I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

Psalm 34:4… ” I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. “

Isaiah 26:3-4 .. “Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace–because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock.”
