In Acts 9 when Saul of Tarsus was blinded by the Heavenly Light he didn’t know what to do next, so for three days he fasted and prayed. We also should fast and pray when we are in darkness and unsure how to proceed. Specifically, we should ask God to send us a Spiritual Director.
To understand God’s will we may need help from someone like Ananias, to guide us and show us the way. Here are four things to pray for:
Pray that God would send a Spiritual Director, verses 10-12
Pray that the Spiritual Director would obey despite uncertainties, verse 13-16
Pray that the Spiritual Director would open their heart like a “brother”, verse 17
Pray that God would use the Spiritual Director to give us clear vision, verse 18-20
