How to Test your Vision

In Acts 16 the Apostle Paul had a vision and from that he concluded God wanted him to pass over into Europe and share the gospel on that continent.

Sometimes you and I have dreams and visions also. We get ideas and notions and become convinced it is God talking to us, but how can we be sure if it is God and not our own imagination? Here are three confirmations to help us be certain the vision is from God.

1. Look for AGREEABLE PARTNERS. Do core team members sense the same leading?
2. Look for FAVORABLE CIRCUMSTANCES. Is God sovereignly moving the winds of change in the right direction?
3. Look for OPEN HEARTS. Are people open and receptive to ministry in this new venue?

God does give visions. Perhaps He has given you one. Test it and then move forward if it is truly God speaking.
