Four Reasons to Read Scripture

I often encourage people to read and study the Bible. Perhaps the Lord prompts me to be an advocate for scripture because so many believers continue to neglect the word of God.

Simon Peter gives four reasons why every Christian needs to be in the word of God.

1. The Bible helps bring about the new birth.
2. The Bible causes spiritual growth.
3. The Bible cleanses.
4. The Bible guides.
