Psalm 147:4 & 5….”He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.”
As I awoke this morning, I heard the wind blowing. I intently listened because I know God is in control of the wind. I usually wake up pretty exhausted and in some pain. It is not yet determined if I have RA or some other health issue, and my hope remains fully focused on God. I truly believe God is our Healer!
Last week when the Dr. quizzed me about symptoms, he turned his head in surprise! I was not the typical patient- my RF count is very high but the outward signs of RA are absent. Because I know the power of God and that He will heal disease, my confidence remains steady as I wait for answers through many studies of my blood.
In a conversation this morning a friend was telling me how tired she had been last week. She finally went to the Dr. and had tests done. It ended up being a simple solution, and she is now much more energetic. After she had explained how very tired she had been –I suggested she multiply that by a few more days, then she could grasp how to pray for me.
Because my friend experienced intense, but brief exhaustion; as she heard me talk she had a deeper understanding of where I was coming from. Stop, Look, Listen– to what God is saying through nature and through other people.
Just like my friends brief experience of exhaustion– God can and will use every event in our lives to teach us His ways. Nothing in our lives is “EVER” wasted “IF” we first set our gaze on Christ. His Spirit is that Mighty Rushing Wind that Blows our way– and refreshes our soul!
Psalm 103:1-4
Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion.
