Escaping the Lion’s Den

Two weeks ago a 350-pound tiger at the San Francisco zoo escaped from its cage and fatally mauled a man. Tatiana the Siberian tiger was eventually put down, but not before injuring two other visitors to the zoo.

Like Daniel in the lion’s den, sometimes we also are put in frightening situations. How do we escape?

  1. Fast – Fasting is voluntary abstinence from food for spiritual purposes. Fasting is especially powerful as a means to deliverance. Daniel’s close friend spent time fasting for his release.
  2. Trust – Despite his dangerous predicament, Daniel trusted the Lord. Faith is the master key that opens doors to freedom. Christians are to walk by faith in times of difficulty.

Daniel survived the lions den, and so will you and I. Fasting and trusting can quicken our release.
